1. All specimens and
arrangements will be placed BY THE
COMMITTEE.
2. The show will
adhere to all conservation rules.
3. All specimen
entries must be grown by the exhibitor.
4. Accessories are
permitted in all arrangement classes. However, the committee
reserves the right to refuse antique or otherwise valuable
accessories.
5. It is the
responsibility of entrants to claim their entries. All entries must
be picked up from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday the last day
of the Fair.
6. It shall be the
responsibility of the exhibitor to make known the proper name of the
article he is entering. Any item entered improperly will be
disqualified, but the judge will mark the correct name on the entry
to benefit the exhibitor.
7. Use of artificial
flowers is PROHIBITED.
8. The show will be
closed to the public during the
judging!
HOW TO
CONDITION FLOWERS FOR SHOW
Cut
flowers with sharp knife early or late in day, plunging immediately
in WARM water - let stand in cool place for several hours before
arranging. Try using FLORA-Life or 12 ounces of Sprite (soda) in 1
gallon of water in arrangement container. In advance you may groom
side buds to create larger blooms.

Must be
cut flowers grown by the exhibitor and must conform to the number of
blooms, spikes, stems, or sprays (a main stem with blooms on all
side branches) specified in each class. Remove buds showing color to
maintain correct numbers of flowers. Leave some foliage on
stems. Flowers in each entry must be of one color and variety
unless otherwise stated. Identify variety. Use specimens nearing
maturity but not in full bloom.
